Mustard Red Organic Sprouting Seeds
Description
Red mustard sprouts impress with a spicy-sharp taste that is just as intense as the green variety, but with an attractive splash of color. The delicate, red-violet leaves bring a decorative, exotic touch to any dish and originally come from Japan.
Taste & Appearance: Sharp-spicy with a hint of cauliflower, mild mustard character with distinct pungency. The striking red-violet leaves create a strong color contrast and make the mix a real eye-catcher on the plate.
Use: Harmonizes perfectly with hearty meat and fish dishes, cabbage, potatoes, and soups, is an eye-catcher in salads, herb quark, and dips. Also ideal as a garnish on sausage and cheese sandwiches, particularly popular in Asian cuisine.
Cultivation: Grow classically in a sprouting jar or on a cress sieve - rinse seeds thoroughly with water and soak, place in a bright spot without direct sun, and water twice daily. Sprouts are ready to harvest after 3 to 5 days, important: harvest before flowering.
That's how quality is done.
Before the seeds are sold, each new batch undergoes an extensive quality control process to determine its germination capacity:
- Microbiological Testing: Our suppliers test each batch to ensure that no seed-borne pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses are present.
- Standard Testing: A standardized test is carried out as a first step.
- Adjustment of Growing Medium: Depending on the variety and the results of the first test, the procedure is repeated on a different growing medium.
- Additional Testing: Special varieties undergo a third test, which includes specific conditions such as the use of heating mats.
