Organic Red Cabbage Sprouting Seeds
Description
Red cabbage sprouts convince with a fresh, mildly sour taste that pleasantly reminds of classic cabbage. The delicate shoots appear in a strong red-violet, setting a color-intensive accent on any plate.
Taste & Appearance: Mild, slightly sour, subtly cabbage-like – a variety that even convinces cabbage skeptics. The violet color remains intense even after germination, making the sprouts a visual highlight.
Usage: Goes perfectly with salads, sandwiches and wraps, harmonizes surprisingly well with fruit and is ideal as a topping for bowls, soups or savory snacks.
Cultivation: Grow classically in a sprouting jar or on a cress sieve – after a few days, the first crunchy sprouts are ready for harvest.
Ingredients: Organic red cabbage seeds (Brassica oleracea var. capitata f. rubra).
That's how quality is done.
Before the seeds are sold, each new batch undergoes an extensive quality control process to determine its germination capacity:
- Microbiological Testing: Our suppliers test each batch to ensure that no seed-borne pathogens such as fungi, bacteria, and viruses are present.
- Standard Testing: A standardized test is carried out as a first step.
- Adjustment of Growing Medium: Depending on the variety and the results of the first test, the procedure is repeated on a different growing medium.
- Additional Testing: Special varieties undergo a third test, which includes specific conditions such as the use of heating mats.
